Two wildfires still burning in Bitola and Skopje areas; 11 open‑space fires recorded today

Two open‑space fires remained active tonight after a day that saw 11 wildfires across the country, the Crisis Management Center reported. By 18:00, two fires were still burning, one had been brought under control and eight were fully extinguished.
Locations and current status
The continuing blazes are near the village of Rapesh in the Municipality of Novaci, where low vegetation is burning, and near the village of Govrlevo in the Municipality of Sopishte, where low vegetation and low‑stem forest are affected.
Firefighters have put a separate blaze under control on the stretch from the village of Belica in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod toward the Jasen area in the Municipality of Sopishte; that fire affected low‑stem and mixed forest.
During the day crews extinguished eight additional fires. Interventions were carried out near the village of Raović in the Municipality of Saraj; on "Alpi" and "Boro Menkov" streets in the Municipality of Butel; near the village of Mralino in the Municipality of Ilinden; between the villages of Ednokuqevo and Monospitovo in the Municipality of Bosilovo; on "Vera Ciriviri" street in Veles; and near the villages of Vranishta and Misleshevo in the Struga area.
Separately, a JSP bus caught fire while standing at a stop in the Centar municipality. No further details were provided about casualties or the bus incident.
Authorities continue to monitor the active sites and coordinate response efforts as conditions evolve.
