VERO Center hosts 'Homemade with Love' — three-day fair of traditional foods and crafts
From October 16–18, 10:00–16:00 daily, visitors can browse a market, taste homemade food and join intergenerational workshops in Skopje.

VERO Center in Skopje is hosting a three-day event called “Homemade with Love” (October 16–18, 2026) that spotlights traditional homemade foods, handcrafted products and the cultural skills passed down through families. The programme runs daily from 10:00 to 16:00 and is open to all visitors.
The fair combines a market of artisanal and homemade goods with food tastings designed to evoke home cooking and family traditions. Visitors can browse stalls, sample local flavors and buy handmade items produced by local makers.
Intergenerational workshops and community dimension
A central element of the event is intergenerational exchange: the Day Care for the Elderly for Active Ageing at the Red Cross of the City of Skopje will lead creative workshops in clay modelling and knitting. Older participants will share practical skills, techniques and life stories with younger visitors.
Organisers say the programme seeks to preserve cultural heritage not only as memory but as a lived experience: traditions, tastes and handiwork are presented as part of everyday life and family ritual. Several well-known companies are taking part to expand the event’s offerings, including Zhito Lux, Mamas, Podravka, Alkaloid, Vitalia, Montenegro and Buchen Kozjak.
“With ‘Homemade with Love’ we want VERO Center to be a place where tradition is not only remembered, but experienced and shared. Homemade tastes, handicrafts and the knowledge of older generations are an important part of our heritage. We are especially pleased that through this event we create a space for those values to be passed on to the youngest,” said representatives of VERO Center.
The fair is open to the public, and VERO Center invites citizens to visit today and tomorrow, October 17 and 18, between 10:00 and 16:00 to enjoy tastings, crafts and communal activities.
