West Ham sacks Nuno Espírito Santo and appoints Scott Parker

03.11.2026 18:02 — West Ham have dismissed manager Nuno Espírito Santo and installed Scott Parker as his immediate replacement, the club confirmed on Tuesday evening.

The decision follows a run of results that left the team far short of expectations this season. Though supporters had hoped for a swift return to the Premier League, the campaign has not gone to plan and the club opted for a change in leadership.

Club form and the reasoning

After 13 league rounds West Ham have recorded just six wins, four draws and three defeats. Those numbers left the side trailing the leaders; Middlesbrough sit six points clear at the top of the standings.

Scott Parker arrives with the task of steadying the squad and closing the gap in the table. The club signalled that immediate improvement in performances and results was the priority behind the managerial switch.

Parker inherits a squad under pressure to reverse its form quickly as the season progresses and fans search for a route back to the results that were expected before the campaign began.
