VLEN: Brussels praises reforms, North Macedonia has received €140 million from the Plan for Growth
EU commission president called progress "impressive" and Brussels signalled additional disbursements in the coming weeks.

VLEN welcomed the positive assessment by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen of North Macedonia's progress under the Plan for Growth. During her visit to Skopje, von der Leyen described the progress as impressive and said further disbursements would follow in the coming weeks; the country has so far received €140 million from the plan.
The party called the transfers a result of sustained institutional effort and commitment. It noted that the Ministry for European Affairs, led by First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali, coordinates implementation of the Reform Agenda and tracks whether institutions meet their obligations.
Next instalments and political expectations
VLEN said the European endorsement should spur continued work and timely fulfilment of remaining commitments. The party also praised Brussels' engagement aimed at unblocking the country's European path.
"For us, this assessment is an additional incentive to continue working and to fulfil the next obligations on time. We welcome Brussels' efforts to unblock the country's European path and expect the obstacles to be overcome so the country can advance in negotiations with the European Union," the party statement said.
Party officials said they expect the announced new payments in the coming weeks to follow the administrative checks and agreed benchmarks, and urged all institutions to keep the momentum to secure further support from the EU.
