VMRO-DPMNE: Filipche creates "hysteria" around the village fountain in Krivogashtani

VMRO-DPMNE strongly reacted to SDSM's statement that the water from the public fountain with acidic water in Krivogashtani is bacteriologically contaminated, assessing that the claim is a deliberate attempt to spread "hysteria." After the reaction, the party accused the SDSM leader of using the case for a political point while, as they say, previously being indifferent to reports on water quality.

The party statement again claims that reports were suppressed

In a written statement, VMRO-DPMNE said that the ruling party quickly declared the village fountain contaminated, although, according to their claims, in the past there were unresolved reports about drinking water. The party pointed to previous cases of allegedly contaminated water in other municipalities.

In the reaction the party directly wrote: "Today, from vacation on Zaev's yacht in Greece, Venko Filipche came up with a new topic to spread hysteria, this time about the village fountain with acidic water in Krivogashtani. SDSM issued a serious warning because the self-proclaimed 'microbiologist' Venko, it was established together with Zaev, between two swims, concluded that the village fountain in Krivogashtani is contaminated. They learned at speed that the village fountain is contaminated, although previously, as minister of health, he suppressed 400 reports of contaminated water and did not lift a finger. He pointed out that VMRO-DPMNE is to blame for this too, because we are sure that if SDSM were in power, milk would flow from the village fountain in Krivogashtani," VMRO-DPMNE said.

In the continuation of the statement, the party linked the whole situation to, as it put it, SDSM's practice of spreading disinformation and panic and accused the party apparatus of engaging in "hybrid attacks" instead of addressing substantive problems.

Earlier today, SDSM announced that laboratory analyses showed the presence of bacteria in the water from the public fountain in Krivogashtani and warned that, after the cases of contaminated water in Gostivar and Demir Kapija, a systemic collapse in the oversight of the water supply in the country may be observed.
