VMRO‑DPMNE asks Assembly to hold oversight hearing on ALTA Bank tomorrow at 11:00
VMRO‑DPMNE submitted a signed request to the Committee on Finance and Budget; chair Sanja Lukarevska says she will decide after receiving the official proposal.

The parliamentary group of VMRO‑DPMNE has requested that an oversight hearing on ALTA Bank be held in the Assembly tomorrow at 11:00. The group says the debate was agreed already on Monday, but no firm date was set after today’s coordination meeting between parliamentary groups.
Request delivered to committee chair
According to the submission, the governing party collected the necessary MPs' signatures and formally sent a request to the chair of the Committee on Finance and Budget, Sanja Lukarevska. Lukarevska told reporters she will not confirm whether the hearing will be scheduled for the proposed slot until she receives the official proposal.
The call for an expedited oversight debate comes amid ongoing public attention to ALTA Bank’s recent developments. VMRO‑DPMNE is pressing for the parliamentary forum to discuss the matter as soon as possible.
Parliamentary coordination earlier this week left the exact timing unresolved, prompting the opposition group to move the matter directly with the committee chair.
If the committee accepts the request, the Assembly would open a session focused on the bank’s issues at the hour proposed by VMRO‑DPMNE; otherwise the debate will await the committee’s scheduling decision.
