84 first examinations in Gostivar in one day; Ministry says situation is stable
Ministry reports 84 first examinations on August 2, up 27 from the day before; figures remain well below the July 18 peak of 649.

The Ministry of Health says the epidemiological situation in Gostivar remains stable, despite a rise in the number of people seeking medical attention over the past 24 hours.
On August 2, 2026, health services registered 84 first examinations — 27 more than on August 1, 2026, when 57 first examinations were recorded.
The ministry pointed out that, despite this day-to-day increase, the current level of first examinations is far below the peak registered on 18 July 2026, when 649 first examinations were logged.
Local health authorities continue to monitor developments and said they are following the situation closely. The official notice did not specify causes for the recent uptick in visits.
The statement from the Ministry did not include the number of patients who required hospital admission, leaving that figure undisclosed for now.
Authorities said they will provide updates if the situation changes and urged residents to follow public health guidance issued by local services.
