Criminal complaint filed in Vinica over shots fired at elementary school
P.Z. (31) is charged with "causing general danger" after shots damaged part of the elementary school's inventory; a rifle, suppressor and 192 diabolo pellets were seized from his home.
The police filed a criminal complaint against a 31-year-old resident of Vinica over projectiles fired at an elementary school, the authorities announced.
According to information from the Ministry of Interior, on January 12, 2026 several projectiles from a firearm were fired at an elementary school in Vinica, damaging part of the school’s inventory.
Filing of charges
The Vinica External Office for Criminal Investigations filed a criminal complaint against P.Z. (31) from Vinica because there are grounds to suspect that he committed the criminal offense "causing general danger."
During a search of the suspect’s home, the police found and seized a rifle, a suppressor, magazine frames for ammunition, 192 diabolo pellets and other items, the Ministry of Interior said in its statement.
The prosecutor’s office and the police continue to collect and verify evidence, and after the investigative actions are completed a decision will be made on further measures. The investigative procedure is ongoing while the authorities examine the seized material and the circumstances of the incident.
