Driver dies after car catches fire on Ohrid–Kichevo road following collision with dogs and guardrails
Car with Ohrid plates hit stray dogs and metal guardrails at 23:30, caught fire and the driver was found dead.

A person whose identity has not yet been confirmed died in a traffic accident late last night on the Ohrid–Kichevo main road, the Sector for Internal Affairs – Ohrid (SVR Ohrid) reported.
Shortly after 23:30, police received a report that a passenger car, a Hyundai Getz bearing Ohrid licence plates, first struck stray dogs and then collided with metal guardrails along the road. The vehicle subsequently caught fire.
Emergency response and scene
The blaze was extinguished by a crew from the Ohrid Territorial Fire Unit. When firefighters opened the car they found the driver dead inside the vehicle.
"At the order of the public prosecutor, the body was handed over to Forensic Medicine for autopsy and to determine the identity of the person," SVR Ohrid said.
A public prosecutor and a team from SVR Ohrid conducted an on-site inspection. During the investigation traffic on the main road was redirected along the regional Ohrid–Struga route.
