Ambulance worker threatened medical staff with a sharp object in Karpoš

An employee of the Emergency Medical Service threatened medical staff with a sharp object at a healthcare facility in the Karpoš municipality of Skopje, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. The incident took place yesterday afternoon.
"On 09.08.2026 at 19:30 the Skopje Regional Police Department received a report that at around 16:50 in a healthcare facility in the Karpoš area, F.S. — an employee of the Emergency Medical Service — behaved aggressively and threatened medical staff with a sharp object," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The report indicates the complaint was filed at 19:30 while the events themselves occurred at about 16:50.
Investigation under way
The Ministry said measures are being taken to clarify the case. Authorities have not released further details about a possible motive or whether anyone was injured.
Police and other competent services continue to establish the circumstances and causes of the aggressive behaviour; additional information will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
