Runoff in ten Brvenica settlements; early DIK data show turnout at 3.98% (646 voters) and a 1.52-point rise from 18 October.

Second-round voting is taking place today (1 November 2026) in ten settlements of the Brvenica municipality, with turnout by 9:00 a.m. reported at 3.98 percent — 646 voters have cast ballots so far.
Early tallies show slight rise from first round
According to the first count of data received by the State Election Commission (DIK), turnout in the runoff is up by 1.52 percentage points compared with the first round, which was held on 18 October. Observers say the early figures reflect only the opening hours and could change as polling continues.
The initial round on 18 October saw overall turnout of 46.56%. In that vote none of the six candidates secured the required majority to win outright, sending the contest to a second round in the ten localities where results were closest.
Party-affiliated candidates who received the most votes in the first round were the nominees of VMRO-DPMNE and DUI, setting the stage for a head-to-head runoff in the affected settlements.
Local election officials said polling stations opened on schedule and that turnout figures will be updated periodically throughout the day as more data arrive at DIK.
Final results from the second round will only be known after counting closes and all reports are processed by the State Election Commission.
