Aleksandar Vučić released his first campaign video on 29 September 2026 in which he appears in an unusual role — acting as a waiter serving a family at a restaurant table while they list political demands instead of dishes.
Throughout the clip the family members voice a series of concrete requests as if ordering from a menu: construction of new highways, higher wages and pensions, opening new maternity wards and provision of free education. The list also includes preserving Kosovo and Metohija and continuing a foreign policy without imposing sanctions on Russia.
Key moments from the spot
The short film contains several moments that immediately sparked reaction on social media. At one point a younger family member openly says, "Vučić should leave." The father quickly intervenes and redirects the boy's wish toward a demand for free education.
When a young woman at the table asks for Serbia to join the European Union and NATO, Vučić replies, "We don't have NATO, but we have peace and stability," after which she answers briefly, "Okay."
At the end of the scene, when Vučić asks what they want for dessert, the father orders "a stable exchange rate of the dinar." Vučić responds, "Agreed," and as he leaves the table the grandmother sums up: "A very nice man."
The video was published days after Vučić officially submitted his resignation as president and transferred presidential powers to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabić, who will serve as acting president until early presidential elections. The spot frames Vučić as attentive to citizens' demands while also generating debate over its tone and the political messages it contains.
