Për nder dhe tifozët: Vardar kërkon fitore ndaj MT Melsungen

Vardar e nikoq më 28 tetor 2026, me fillim në orën 18:45 në Jane Sandanski, përballë MT Melsungen në ndeshjen e fundit të ekipit në sezonin e EHF Champions League në fushën e vet. Edhe pse kampionit të Maqedonisë i janë humbur shanset për të kaluar fazën kryesore, skuadra kërkon fitore për të shpërblyer tifozët.

Janë luajtur pesë ndeshje deri tani dhe mbetet edhe njëra. Vardar vjen i nxitur nga fitorja në transfertë ndaj Nantesit, fitore që tregoi se ekipi mund të bëjë ballë rivalëve të fuqishëm dhe ngjalli besim para takimit shtëpiak me Melsungen.

Trajneri Ivan Cupic e solli takimin si çështje nderi dhe obligimi ndaj tifozëve që e mbushin rregullisht sallën Jane Sandanski në duelet e Champions League.

Fjalët e Cupic para ndeshjes

Në konferencën për shtyp para ndeshjes Cupic tha: “We have one more match in the EHF Champions League and, unfortunately for all of us, the last one this season in this competition. We played five matches, and one remains. MT Melsungen will certainly come to Skopje determined to fight for a place in the main phase.”

Ai vazhdoi: “My thinking is very simple. After the two defeats in ‘Jane Sandanski’, now it is also about our pride and honour. This hall and our supporters, who backed us at the highest level in the two home matches in the Champions League, deserve that we finish the campaign with a win.

“We want to win not only for the club and to continue the winning streak, but above all to repay the fans — the people who are always behind us and constantly give us extra strength.

“We beat Nantes and, God willing, if on Wednesday we also defeat Melsungen, that will be a reward for the supporters who never give up on us. The entire domestic season lies ahead of us, the regional league and the EHF European League. We want the hall to remain full, and Vardar and our home ground to become a fortress again.”
