Stabbing in prison ambulance; injured inmate taken to hospital
According to reports, a physical altercation took place in the facility's ambulatory the day before yesterday around 18:35, involving a 28-year-old sentenced prisoner from the Skopje area and a 41-year-old sentenced prisoner from Bitola. The 41-year-old allegedly used a sharp object and wounded the other inmate.
The injured 28-year-old was transported to the Mother Teresa Clinical Hospital Complex for medical treatment.
In a separate operation, searches of two other inmates — aged 34 and 37 — turned up 25 packages containing a brown powdery substance and 14 packages of marijuana, a total of 39 packages which were seized.
The police say measures are being taken to fully clarify and document both incidents, after which appropriate charges will be filed.
