Zdravko Čolić releases new album "Mashtam i prashtam"

Zdravko Čolić has released a new studio album titled "Mashtam i prashtam." The record is his sixteenth studio album and contains 12 tracks, including previously heard singles "Sto dukata", "Biraj ti", "Zašto ona", "Tamo", "Proljeće za ljubavnike" and "Ne daj da ostarim sam".

Release and formats

The album is available now in an exclusive presale on the Croatia Records webshop in both compact disc and vinyl formats, while from September 30 it will be available across all digital platforms and in regular retail sale.

Contributors to the album include notable regional authors and performers such as Vjekoslava and Tonči Huljić, Dino Merlin, Maja Sar, Saša Matić and Miloš Smiljanić Žuća. Production credits go to Nikša Bratoš, Mahir Sarihodžić, Baby Dooks, Marko Luis and Tonči Huljić.

Commenting on the release, Čolić said: "I've been working with Croatia Records for a long time, we are old friends. Together we've worked on the last two, three albums and we had an excellent collaboration. Some songs from this album we've already released, some we will release soon, so all together this makes one album of 12 songs."

On the artistic aim of the new material he added: "Not every song on the album has to be a hit, but let them have substance, let them remain for some future time and that will be enough."

The new release follows a nine-year gap in Čolić's discography: his previous album, "Ono malo sreće", was published in 2017. "Mashtam i prashtam" is a joint release by Croatia Records and Ulaz d.o.o.

Visual design is signed by Dragan S. Stefanović, and the lacquer cut for the record was made by Sean Magee at London’s Abbey Road Studios. The edition is already available to order through the Croatia Records webshop.
