Zekirija Ramadani confirms departure from Drita
Coach Zekirija Ramadani confirmed his departure from Drita in a short interview; the club has not given a public reason.
Zekirija Ramadani has confirmed he is no longer the head coach of Gjilan-based club Drita, ending a spell that began in November 2023.
Separation announced in brief interview
Ramadani told Kanal 10 on July 31, 2026 that he and the club have parted ways, but he declined to elaborate on the reasons for the split.
"Yes, I parted ways with the club, it's true. Ask the club for the reason, there is no reason to have sacked me," the coach told Kanal 10 briefly.
Last year (2025) Ramadani received Kosovo's top coaching honour when he was named Coach of the Year, recognition that followed a successful period with Drita. He took over the team in November 2023.
As of now the club has not released an official explanation for the decision. Ramadani's immediate plans were not announced in the interview.
The departure comes unexpectedly given the accolades he collected in recent seasons and leaves questions about Drita's next steps ahead of the new competitive calendar.
