Zelensky praises 40-day campaign against Russian logistics and signals strikes will continue
Zelensky said the 40-day campaign, launched at the end of June, targeted refineries, tankers supplying occupied Crimea and Wildberries warehouses.

Volodymyr Zelensky said he is satisfied with the results of a 40-day operation designed to push Russia to end the war, and indicated Ukrainian forces will continue striking Russian logistics.
According to Zelensky, he tasked the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to launch the operation toward the end of June. The strikes, he said, hit refineries, dozens of Russian tankers that supplied occupied Crimea, and numerous warehouses of Wildberries, Russia's largest online retail chain.
SBU: campaign aimed at weakening Russian military logistics
The SBU described the campaign as intended to weaken key elements of the Russian military machine. Ukrainian officials framed the attacks as a way to disrupt fuel and supply lines that sustain operations in occupied territories.
Western analysts and regional observers have warned that targeting logistics can have a disproportionate effect on frontline capabilities, while also raising the risk of escalation and broader economic consequences for civilians who depend on fuel and goods.
Zelensky also suggested the strikes are starting to change perceptions inside Russia. He said ordinary Russians have begun to feel the war — a development Kyiv appears to view as additional pressure on Moscow to seek an end to hostilities.
Ukrainian leaders say similar operations may continue as long as they serve strategic aims to degrade Russian capacity and increase the cost of sustaining the invasion.
