Zelenskyy announces new talks with the United States on peace and aid
In a video address from Kyiv he said the talks will focus on a possible peace agreement, energy and the security of food and weapons supplies.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday evening that he will soon hold new talks with the United States, in comments delivered in a video address from Kyiv.
Topics will include a possible peace accord and security of supplies
Zelenskyy said the forthcoming discussions will concentrate on prospects for a peace agreement, energy issues and the security of food and weapons supplies to Ukraine.
"There will be new aid packages for Ukraine, especially for air defense," he said.
The president did not give further details about when the talks will take place or which U.S. officials will participate.
Zelenskyy also said he will travel to New York next week to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly.
