Zelensky: Russian drone struck Coca‑Cola plant near Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a Russian drone struck and damaged a Coca‑Cola factory near Kyiv during a daytime offensive, but that there were no injuries.

Attack near Brovary

The strike took place east of the capital, close to the town of Brovary, where footage showed thick smoke rising above the plant and its surroundings. Zelensky framed the hit as deliberate and politically charged.

In a video address he said: "The Russians with their drone hit a 'Coca‑Cola' factory. This is a clear Russian signal to America, because they cannot fail to know that this is an American facility."

Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, confirmed employees at the plant were not injured and said the company is cooperating with authorities to assess the damage.

The attack was reported as part of a broader daytime offensive on the region. Ukrainian officials have so far provided no indication of casualties from this specific strike, and assessments of physical damage are ongoing.
