Earthquake in Skopje: 2.5 magnitude felt tonight
At 21:54 an earthquake with a local magnitude of 2.5 and an intensity of three to four degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale was felt.
In Skopje tonight an earthquake with a local Richter magnitude of 2.5 was felt at 21:54, reports came from city residents.
Seismological data
The Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje registered the tremor with an epicenter in the epicentral area of Skopje. They noted that the local Richter magnitude was 2.5, and the intensity was assessed at three to four degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale.
The earthquake was felt by residents of the city and the surrounding area who reported shaking and mild vibrations.
An exhibition will be held at the Museum of the City of Skopje that will leave a lasting record of the Skopje earthquake.
