Zarko Ristoski named coach of the round in Turkey

Voleyturkiye1 named Macedonian coach Zarko Ristoski the coach of the round in the Turkish top division, following performances in the opening fixtures of the Super League (05.11.2026 12:54).

The portal's traditional "Team of the Round" picks the best players and a single coach based on match results and statistical indicators. Ristoski earned the honour after Istanbul Belediyespor's mixed but notable start to his first season in Turkey.

Istanbul Belediyespor (IBB Spor) have recorded two victories and two defeats in the opening rounds: a 3:1 win over Sungurlu and a 3:2 win over Sultabeyli, plus a 2:3 loss to Istanbul Genchik and a 1:3 defeat by Fenerbahçe. Those results place the club seventh in the Super League table.

The team has been weakened during the last two rounds by the absence of an opposite hitter, after both players in that position — Tepan and Fazli — suffered injuries.

Ristoski and IBB Spor face a significant test in the next round against Ziraat Bank, last season's Final Four participant in the CEV Champions League and the current leader of the domestic championship.

The recognition from Voleyturkiye1 is a boost for Ristoski as he continues his coaching debut on Turkish soil and aims to stabilise IBB Spor amid a busy schedule.
