Željko Obradović returns to Belgrade as opponent as Panathinaikos faces Partizan
For the first time since 2013 the legendary coach will face Partizan in the Arena in Belgrade tonight at 20:30.

Panathinaikos will visit Partizan in the Arena in Belgrade tonight at 20:30 in a EuroLeague game that promises one of the competition's most charged atmospheres.
Obradović returns to the Serbian capital as an opponent
Željko Obradović, the coach of Panathinaikos and a figure deeply linked to Partizan’s history, arrives in Belgrade for the first time as an opposing EuroLeague coach since 2013. The meeting revives a long-running personal and sporting storyline ahead of the tip-off.
Belgrade’s crowds have a reputation across Europe for creating a unique match-night environment, and tonight’s game is expected to underline that. Organizers and spectators alike treat Partizan home fixtures as a spectacle, often compared only to the biggest arenas in Greece or Turkey.
While Obradović is likely to be greeted with warm applause and recognition for his past with Partizan, the focus has to remain on the home team. Partizan and their head coach Joan Peñarroya need loud backing from the stands so their players can meet the challenge on the court.
The contest is one of the highlights on the EuroLeague calendar this round: a clash between two historically important clubs, charged by both sporting rivalry and personal narratives surrounding the benches. Expectations are for a full Arena and an intense atmosphere.
