Zuica Lazova celebrates 52nd birthday with Naum Petreski

Zuica Lazova recently celebrated her 52nd birthday in a cheerful gathering attended by close family and her husband, singer Naum Petreski. The evening was marked by live music and warm moments between the couple, who are among North Macedonia’s best‑known musical duos.

Birthday song and family atmosphere

Guests described a relaxed party where live performance took center stage: Naum sang tenderly to his wife, and the couple smiled and enjoyed the attention. The celebration underlined the long partnership between Lazova and Petreski, who have shared both life and stage for more than two decades.

The pair formalized their relationship with a wedding in Ohrid in 2022, a milestone that followed many years of being together. Their public appearances often show the same easy chemistry that was visible during this birthday.

Outside of performing, Zuica balances several roles: she is a mother to two children, daughter Makedonka and son Stefan, both of whom are pursuing musical paths, and she works as an accordion teacher. Her presence on social media frequently combines updates about her music with intimate family moments.

In past interviews Lazova spoke warmly about her marriage and professional approach. She told Glamur magazine: "Isn't it true that opposites attract! We are very different when it comes to patience and endurance; I am the more patient one, he less so. In any case, all our flaws and virtues complement each other and that's why we function to this day."

About teaching, she said she prefers a gentle, loving method: "I am not a very strict teacher, I know how to keep things under control and achieve what is needed without enforcing strictness. Children should be approached with love and patience, and in return they respond with love for music and the instrument." She also noted how, even though some pupils occasionally ask for autographs or photos, she considers herself primarily a teacher and behaves accordingly.
