Zurla and tapan at Nikola Stanišic’s home — sister Sandra says "YES" to Miroslav Atanasovski
Zurla and tapan musicians played in the yard of the Stanišic family home as bride Sandra said "YES" to Miroslav after a church wedding.
Musicians with zurla and tapan announced the celebration outside the Stanišic family home as Nikola Stanišic’s sister, Sandra Stanišic (34), accepted the marriage proposal from her partner Miroslav Atanasovski (30).
Wedding followed a church ceremony and a boisterous home reception
The festivities began at the family house, where Nikola — winner of the last season of the music show Zvezdite na Grand — embraced his sister and ceremonially handed her to the groom, Miroslav. After the home rituals the newlyweds and their closest relatives went on to the church for the formal religious ceremony and vows.
Video and photos shared on social media show a jubilant party in the yard: the couple danced at the centre of attention while guests showered them and the musicians with banknotes. Guests placed bills on the bride’s décolletage of an elaborate white corset wedding gown, and tips were handed out to the groom and the band as well.
Sandra wore a lavish white corset gown with lace details and a long veil; Miroslav chose a classic black suit with a bow tie. At one point the groom danced energetically beneath the Macedonian flag as the celebration continued into the late hours.
The couple had been together for eleven months before Miroslav knelt and proposed during Sandra’s birthday in December of last year in Varazdin, Croatia. Earlier snapshots from that engagement were shared by Nikola, who expressed his happiness for his sister.
Before the wedding the bride’s bachelorette party took place by a pool in Kuckovo, and the family sent the newlyweds off amid songs, embraces and smiles as guests continued their celebrations.
