17-year-old assaults police officer in central Skopje, detained
The Ministry of Interior says officers responding to reports of aggressive behaviour tried to help the injured minor before he attacked an officer.

A 17-year-old from the Skopje area was detained after physically assaulting a police officer in central Skopje, the Ministry of Interior reported.
Citizens had earlier alerted the authorities about the minor's aggressive and inappropriate behaviour, the ministry said. Officers were dispatched to the city centre to check the situation.
When the police arrived they saw that the teenager had sustained injuries and attempted to provide assistance. At that moment the minor physically attacked one of the officers on the scene.
The juvenile was taken into custody at the Center Police Station. "After full documentation of the case an appropriate submission will follow," the ministry added.
No further personal details were released about the minor. The police statement did not specify the nature of the injuries or whether the officer required medical treatment.
