33 wildfires recorded in North Macedonia in last 24 hours — 4 active

In the past 24 hours North Macedonia recorded 33 open‑space fires: 4 remain active, 2 are under control and 27 have been extinguished, the Center for Crisis Management reported.

Active wildfires and locations

Active fires are recorded in four municipalities:

  • Municipality of Čaška: village Jabolchishte, site called "Bikov Grob" (beech and oak forest, scrub and low vegetation).
  • Municipality of Lipkovo: village Strima, place called "Guri Kukj" (pine forest and low vegetation).
  • Municipality of Prilep: village Dren (mixed forest).
  • Municipality of Debar: village Gorno Kosovrasti, location "Krushno i Vlozhno" (forest).

Two fires are listed as under control:

  • Municipality of Studenichani: between the villages of Drachevica and Cvetovo, site "Kaldired" (low vegetation).
  • Municipality of Kumanovo: Krasta landfill (dump).

The Center for Crisis Management said 27 of the reported incidents have been extinguished during the same period; authorities continue to monitor the situation and respond where necessary.
