The Center for Crisis Management reported this morning that emergency services registered a total of 33 fires in open areas across North Macedonia during the last 24 hours; four remain active, four have been brought under control and 25 have been extinguished.

Active blazes concentrated in several municipalities

According to the Center for Crisis Management, active fires are burning in the municipalities of Studenichani and Zelenikovo — near the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber, including a branch moving toward the villages of Paligrad and Vrazhale in Zelenikovo municipality. Additional active outbreaks were recorded in Macedonski Brod — near the locality Vidush and the villages Dragov Dol and Lokvica; in Kichevo — near the villages Tajmishte and the locality Darda; and in Gostivar — near the village Gorna Gjonovica.

Fires that have been reported as under control include one in the village Ilinden, one near the Delchevo-area village Bigla, the fire at the village Tudence in Jegunovce municipality, and two in Vrapchishte municipality — near the villages Lomnica and Gjerjevishte.

The Center for Crisis Management's tally covers incidents registered across the country in the cited 24-hour period. The agency's morning update lists the location status for each incident but did not include further operational details in its statement.
