35-year-old from Studenichani dies after using pressure washer
Incident occurred on 16 September at about 11:40 a.m.; authorities say an electric shock is the likely cause.
A 35-year-old man from the Skopje-area village of Studenichani died after collapsing while using a pressure washer to clean his car, authorities say.
The incident happened on 16 September at about 11:40 a.m. in the yard of a house in Studenichani. The property belongs to A.S., 56, and the victim was identified by initials as H.B., 35.
Autopsy ordered to establish cause
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the case was registered with SVR Skopje. According to initial findings, H.B. fell suddenly while operating the pressure washer; an electric shock is being treated as the most likely cause.
Emergency medical teams were called to the scene and H.B. was taken to the Clinical Center "Mother Teresa" in Skopje. Despite medical efforts, a doctor pronounced him dead at the healthcare facility.
The public prosecutor was notified and, following the prosecutor's instructions, the body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy and further examinations to determine the exact cause of death and clarify the circumstances of the accident.
