352 Bulgarian citizens voted in North Macedonia in Bulgaria's presidential election
The Central Election Commission reported 352 ballots at seven polling stations in North Macedonia; Yotova and Valchev won 40.7% of those votes.

A total of 352 Bulgarian citizens cast ballots at seven polling stations in North Macedonia during Bulgaria's presidential election, the Central Election Commission (CEC) reported. The presidential ticket of Iliana Yotova and Kiril Valchev received the largest share of those votes — 40.7 percent.
“The presidential pair Iliana Yotova and Kiril Valchev won 40.7 percent of the votes of Bulgarian citizens in North Macedonia in yesterday's elections. The pair Andrej Gjurov and Georgi Kandev came second with 25.6 percent of the votes, and Kostadin Kostadinov and Petar Volgin were third with 14.5 percent of the votes given in the country. The data are based on 99.84 percent of the protocols processed by the CEC,” the CEC said.
Polling places and turnout
Bulgarians in North Macedonia voted at seven locations. In Skopje 105 people voted; the General Consulate in Bitola recorded 49 ballots; 51 votes were cast in Ohrid; 44 in Strumica; 39 in Kavadarci; and 32 voters each at polling stations in Kočani and Prilep.
The total turnout among Bulgarian citizens in North Macedonia was lower than at the snap parliamentary elections in April of this year, when 461 Bulgarian nationals voted in the country.
Across Bulgaria the vote advanced Iliana Yotova and Andrej Gjurov to a second round of the presidential race.
The CEC figures cited above are drawn from nearly all processed protocols and reflect the vote distribution among Bulgarian citizens who voted in North Macedonia.
