A 44-year-old man identified only by the initials B.D. was detained at 03:50 last night in a village in the Struga area on suspicion of domestic violence.
Police say the arrest followed an initial report indicating that B.D. and another family member had physically assaulted his wife. The woman was the subject of the complaint that prompted officers to respond to the address.
Police intervention and behaviour
During the police operation B.D. reportedly acted aggressively toward the officers carrying out the procedures, which complicated the intervention and led to his detention.
Authorities have not released additional personal details about the people involved. The case remains under investigation while police complete official documentation.
After investigators finish collecting and recording all relevant information, prosecutors will be presented with a file and appropriate charges will be prepared against B.D.
