Aleksandar Stojkovic knocked out in Partizan–Lavovi match; father Rastko rushed onto court

Partizan recorded a convincing 40-27 win over Lavovi in the sixth round of the Serbian handball championship on October 10, 2026, but the final result was overshadowed by a violent incident late in the match.

In the 54th minute, after a goal by Vladislav Kulesh, a celebration led to contact with Lavovi player Aleksandar Stojkovic. Stojkovic fell to the floor and remained down after receiving a blow.

Relatives watching from the stands were visibly shocked. Stojkovic's father, Rastko Stojkovic — a former Serbian international and a silver medallist at the European Championship in Belgrade in 2012 — immediately ran onto the court visibly upset and moved toward the Belarusian player.

Quick intervention prevented escalation

The situation threatened to escalate, but players and the coaching staff from both teams intervened quickly. Among those who helped defuse the tension was Partizan assistant coach Marko Pavlovic.

The most serious consequence was the injury to Stojkovic, who had to be carried off the court on a stretcher. After the incident, Partizan publicly sent a message of support to the Lavovi player, wishing him a speedy recovery.
