Alkaloid thumps Lovćen for first Regional League win
Alkaloid dominated from the first whistle and led 27:17 at half-time en route to a 54:37 home victory over Montenegrin side RK Lovćen.

RK Alkaloid recorded a commanding win in the Regional League on 28 August 2026, dismantling Montenegro’s RK Lovćen 54:37 at home and securing their first victory in the competition.
The hosts imposed a fast tempo from the outset and left the court for half-time with a double-digit lead, 27:17, setting the tone for a one-sided second half.
Key performers and tactics
The Alkaloid attack clicked throughout the match. Uroš Borzaš finished as the top scorer with 8 goals, while Nejc Cehte, Emilijan Gjorgovski and Aleksandar Petkovski each contributed 7 goals, sharing the offensive burden and keeping constant pressure on Lovćen’s defence.
Defensively Alkaloid limited Lovćen’s chances and converted turnovers into quick breaks, which amplified the margin as the game progressed. The result gives Alkaloid a notable confidence boost in the early phase of the Regional League campaign.
For Lovćen the trip ended with a heavy defeat and questions about how to curb Alkaloid’s pace and finishing; they will need to regroup before their next league fixture.
