Ana Bekuta leaves Stars of Grand jury, Sanja Vučić named permanent judge
After 12 years on the show Bekuta says she will pause jury duties to work on a new album and concert plans; Grand Production praises her work and keeps the door open.

Ana Bekuta has announced she will step away from the judging panel of the long-running talent show Stars of Grand after 12 years, saying she needs to focus on her own music projects.
Bekuta wrote on social media that she joined the programme in 2014 at the invitation of Saša Popović and that, after more than a decade of mentoring young singers across the region, she now wants to concentrate on a new album and upcoming concerts.
Cast change: Sanja Vučić becomes a permanent judge
The singer Sanja Vučić, who has repeatedly filled in for Bekuta in the past, will take Bekuta’s place as a permanent jury member. Vučić has already appeared in the role on several occasions and the production confirmed the move.
In her message Bekuta said: "I joined the jury of the music competition 'Stars of Grand' in 2014 at the invitation of Saša Popović…"
She added: "After 12 years I believe it is time to take a break from the most-watched music format that has given me so much. For more than a decade I have selflessly shared all the secrets of the singing craft with young performers."
Bekuta made clear the decision is driven by her own career plans: "This decision is not related to joining another jury; it is above all about my career. Besides the new album I am diligently preparing, there are planned new concert activities…"
Grand Production responded with an emotional statement, saying the door will remain open for Bekuta. The company added that it understands and respects her wish to focus on the album and concerts and called her a long-time collaborator and friend of the production.
The news comes shortly after the show’s longtime presenter Sanja Kužet ended her 13-year association with the programme. Production said the parting was by mutual agreement and praised Kužet’s charisma and energy, wishing her success in future business and personal endeavours.
