Ana Petan to represent North Macedonia at the Festival of Dalmatian Chanson in Šibenik

On August 22 in Šibenik the competitive evening of the Festival of Dalmatian Chanson in Šibenik will take place, at which North Macedonia will be represented by Ana Petan with the new composition "Tvoja sum jas". This edition of the festival will present 25 new compositions, selected after extremely strong competition.

Numerous well-known names from the Croatian music scene will appear on the stage, among them Ibrica Jusić, Đani Stipaničev, Ivo Patiera, Marko Kutlić and Dino Petrić. The festival continues to work on connecting the tradition of chanson with contemporary authorial expression.

Ana Petan is the only representative from North Macedonia in this year’s competition. The song "Tvoja sum jas" is the work of Grigor Koprov (music and lyrics), while the arrangement is by Stefan Petanovski, giving her solid authorial support before the Šibenik audience.

The performance in Šibenik will come ahead of the promotion of her debut studio album "Samo ljubov postoi", released by Croatia Records and available on all digital music platforms. The promotion itself will be organized within the framework of the festival, with the attendance of numerous music and media professionals.

It is important to note that after the legendary Vlatko Stefanovski, Ana Petan is the second Macedonian artist to release a record for Croatia Records. The album contains ten compositions, including the award-winning song "Ljubav uvijek pobijedi" with which she won the award for best interpretation at the Biser Jadrana festival. The release also includes the Croatian versions "Balada za anđela" and "S tobom do zvijezda", as well as the duet "Nebo" with Dado Topić, who penned the lyrics.

Besides Grigor Koprov and Stefan Petanovski, authors of the material are Dušan Bačić and Robert Pilepić, who contribute to a varied musical collage that blends a modern pop sound, strong vocal interpretation and Mediterranean emotion. The performance in Šibenik is a chance for Ana Petan to expand her listener base and confirm the value of the Macedonian authorial scene on the regional map.
