M.USLUGI app opens test phase on 2 October 2026; users report problems adding documents

The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced that the mobile application for citizens' digital identity, M.USLUGI, is available in a test phase from 2 October 2026, but early users report problems when trying to add documents.

Our editorial team downloaded the app from the Google Play Store to test it. Installation was straightforward and the app requires creation of a six-digit PIN. After that the user must log in with the credentials used for the e‑services portal; once logged in the interface allows selection of a document type and entry of document number and issue date. During our attempt the system returned a message stating the service is currently unavailable.

A person we spoke with who has already tried the app welcomed the initiative but confirmed experiencing technical difficulties. He told us: "I like the idea behind the app and the possibility that in future we will use the phone for digital identification. The app is easy to download, and the login process is simple and understandable. At the moment I couldn't add personal documents, probably because some functionalities are still in the test phase. I hope the app will be fully functional soon and we will be able to practically use all the features it offers."

How the test phase is organised

The Ministry is asking citizens to participate actively in the test phase by downloading and trying the application and by sending any feedback to the Ministry. The app is available for Android and iOS and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store; a link and QR code are also available on the uslugi.gov.mk portal.

To use M.USLUGI citizens must have a personal profile on the uslugi.gov.mk portal that has been confirmed by the Public Revenue Office (UJP). At launch the app supports an electronic ID card and a driver's licence; authorities say more document types are expected to be added later.
