Bojan Ilievski celebrates 27th birthday; congratulations pour in

Bojan Ilievski marked his 27th birthday this week, receiving congratulations from fellow contestants, fans and friends across the region. The celebration follows a breakout summer for the young singer, who won the competition Zvezdite na Grand in June this year with the highest number of SMS votes.

Among the first public messages was one from his show colleague Nikola Gjurić, who posted a photo with Bojan and wrote: “Brother of mine, be alive and healthy for another hundred years… And may we spend many more days and nights like this!”

From a hard family story to a regional audience

Born on 12 October 1999 in Skopje, Ilievski has become known not only for his powerful voice but also for his striking tattoos — including the statuette he proudly wears after winning Zvezdite na Grand. His image and songs have quickly turned him into one of North Macedonia’s most talked-about young artists.

Ilievski has spoken openly about his private life in recent media appearances. “I am generally a kafana person. Although I prefer homemade specialties prepared by my grandmother, the kafana is the place where I relax best,” he said in a recent on-camera conversation.

His grandmother, who raised him and remains his main support, has been central to his story. In a widely shared emotional interview Bojan recalled his last meeting with his mother in Slovenia in 2021 and the personal struggles he faced on the road to success. He also remembered the encouraging words of Saša Popović, who told him that “Zvezdite na Grand are his second family he can always rely on.”
