Bojan Ilievski performed at the wedding of his professor's son in Tetovo
The Zvezde Granda winner performed in Tetovo for his former teacher's family and described the evening as very emotional.
Bojan Ilievski, the winner of the music competition Zvezde Granda, had a visible emotional evening when he performed at a wedding in Tetovo this week. The celebration was for the son of his former teacher, and Ilievski said the invitation carried personal significance because he and the professor have remained close after school.
The singer shared photos and short videos from the event on his social channels, showing a lively crowd and warm reactions from guests. His presence was presented as a highlight of the reception and drew praise from his followers online.
“Today I am celebrating with my professor Vlado Srbinovski, his son Ninoslav and daughter-in-law Natasha at a wedding. A wedding full of positive energy and many great people. Thank you very much,” Ilievski said.
Ilievski described it as an honour to be part of the family celebration and admitted the evening felt deeply emotional for him.
From personal loss to the stage
During his time on Zvezde Granda, only those closest to him knew about the serious hardships behind the voice that moved audiences across the region. In a long interview on the YouTube show Kafe Muabeti (Glamur channel), Ilievski spoke openly about losing his parents and the painful road that followed.
He recalled the last meeting with his mother in Slovenia in 2021, shortly before she passed away after a serious illness, and said that a promise he made to her became his main motivation to continue pursuing music. Ilievski also mentioned the encouraging words of Sasa Popovic, support from his mentor Djordje David, and the day his grandmother appeared on camera — moments that helped shape his rise and the public reaction to his winning song.
