Bojan Ilievski released an emotional performance of "Ima li pesna"
Young Grand winner uploaded a heartfelt rendition of the classic song linked to Toše Proeski and Naum Petreski.

Bojan Ilievski, the young Macedonian singer who won the talent show Zvezdite na Grand, released an intimate home video that quickly moved his followers. In the clip he performs the traditional Macedonian song "Ima li pesna", a piece strongly associated with the late Toše Proeski and folk star Naum Petreski.
Tribute to a well‑known duet
The choice of song was deliberate: the duet by Toše Proeski and Naum Petreski — including a celebrated performance during the TV Telma holiday program in 2005 — remains one of the most emotional moments in modern Macedonian music. Ilievski aimed to revive that spirit with a warm, powerful vocal approach.
The short video found fast traction online, gathering thousands of likes and a stream of positive comments within hours. Fans praised his interpretation and noted how his delivery echoes the emotional intensity of the earlier duet while retaining his own voice.
This release coincides with a year of major changes for Ilievski. The singer recently turned 27 and celebrated his birthday in a close circle that included family, friends and, according to observers, a mysterious woman who drew fans’ curiosity. The cake at the party carried a theme celebrating his victory on Zvezdite na Grand.
On social media Ilievski signaled that after a successful 26th year he plans to make his 27th year even busier: he promised new music, projects and lively events for his audience. The latest clip is being read as a first sign that he intends to keep honoring Macedonian musical traditions while building his own career path.
Observers and followers expect more releases after this emotional nod to national repertoire, and the video has reinforced Ilievski’s standing among younger performers who draw from the country’s musical heritage.
