Brajan Avia posts strong result at U20 World Championships

Brajan Avia delivered a notable performance at the World U20 Athletics Championships held in the United States on August 10, 2026, jumping 7.04 m to place 24th overall.

Competing among the 30 best long jumpers in his age group, Avia produced his best mark of the contest at 7.04 m, a result that moved him into the middle of a tightly contested field and gave clear evidence of his improving form.

Progress under a new training regimen

The result is seen as confirmation of the progress Avia has made recently. Work with his coach, Gjorgji Vuchkov, has steadily pushed the Macedonian athlete forward and the performance in the U.S. suggests the training is producing measurable gains.
