Nakovski Volej to host BVA Balkan Cup 2026, opens vs Drita Gnjilane

Nakovski Volej, the Macedonian vice-champion, will host the BVA Balkan Cup 2026 from October 6 to 8 in the Park Hall. The three-day tournament brings four clubs together for regional honours and European stakes.

Participants and opener

The home side will face Drita Gnjilane in the tournament opener. The other entrants are CSKA Sofia from Bulgaria and Olympiacos from Greece, creating a competitive field for the trophy.

The Strumica club has already published the full match schedule and confirmed the order of games for the weekend. Local organisers expect strong matches as teams prepare for the short, knockout-style event.

The BVA Balkan Cup carries added importance this year because the winner will secure a place in the first round of the CEV Challenge Cup, guaranteeing European competition next season.

Organisers say the tournament will offer an early-season test for all four teams and a chance for Nakovski Volej to defend its status at home ahead of domestic and continental obligations.

Match times and the detailed schedule are available from the host club; fans planning to attend are advised to check the published timetable for session start times across October 6–8.
