All night volunteers fought wildfire near Chanište; several old houses destroyed
Fire in the Prilep area burned several old houses but spared inhabited homes; volunteers fought flames through the night.

Volunteers from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue worked through the night to extinguish a wildfire in the area around the village of Chanište in the municipality of Prilep, where the blaze developed on two fronts.
The latest update from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue (DZS) says that no inhabited houses were burned in the village and that residents remained in their homes overnight.
Several old buildings destroyed, no injuries reported
Fire consumed several old, abandoned houses and dwellings used only occasionally by their owners. Authorities reported there were no injuries.
Across the country, the Center for Crisis Management (CUK) recorded 29 open‑space fires in the last 24 hours: six remain active, one has been brought under control and 22 have been fully extinguished.
Active fires were reported in the municipality of Studeničani near the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber; in the municipality of Macedonski Brod around the Vidush area and the villages Dragov Dol, Lokvica and Devich; and in the areas around Veles and Zelenikovo near the settlements S'lp, Gorno Selo, Karabunishta, Buzalkovo, Dobrino and Tisovica.
Additional active blazes were noted in the municipalities of Jegunovce and Saraj near the villages Kopance, Tudenec and Bojane, as well as in the municipality of Prilep near Chanište and in the municipality of Dolneni near Vranche and Belo Pole. The fire at the Delchevo landfill has been brought under control.
