Flights to Warsaw, Murcia and Sofia were redirected and inspected on 3 November 2026 after received bomb threats.

On 3 November 2026 four passenger aircraft landed at European airports after bomb threats forced diversions and on‑site inspections.
Two separate aircraft were checked in Warsaw, while another was inspected in Murcia, Spain. Bulgarian local media reported that a flight originating in Israel was diverted to Sofia Airport after a bomb threat was received by e‑mail.
One of the diverted planes had departed London’s Heathrow and made an unscheduled landing at Warsaw Modlin Airport, where specialists carried out an inspection. The aircraft was carrying 181 passengers and had originally been due to land at Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Security responses and routine checks
Authorities at the affected airports carried out standard security procedures following the threats: passengers were disembarked where necessary, luggage and the aircraft cabin were inspected, and specialists combed the aircraft for any suspicious items. No public reports of explosives or injuries have been released so far.
Investigations into the origin of the threats are under way in the respective countries. Officials have not yet released detailed findings, and it remains unclear whether the incidents are connected.
