Four drivers detained in 24 hours for driving without a licence
Two men from Skopje and two 20‑year‑olds from Kavadarci and Kumanovo were held on suspicion of "reckless driving"; a 56‑year‑old Skopje woman was also detained after causing two crashes.

On 17 September 2026 the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that four drivers were found operating vehicles without having passed a driving exam within a 24‑hour period and were detained.
The detained include two men from Skopje, aged 29 and 20, and two 20‑year‑olds from Kavadarci and Kumanovo. All four were deprived of liberty on suspicion of the criminal offence "reckless driving".
Additional arrest and next steps
In the same timeframe police also arrested a 56‑year‑old woman from Skopje who was driving under the influence of alcohol and caused two traffic accidents, the ministry said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that after full documentation of the cases appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
Authorities did not release names. The incidents were described as separate events occurring over the course of one day; further procedural steps and any potential court actions will follow the formal filing of charges.
