Darko Churlinov starts on debut for Pogon Szczecin as club win 2–0 away at Cracovia

3 August 2026 — Darko Churlinov marked his first start for Pogon Szczecin with a victory in Poland's top flight, coming away from Kraków with a 2–0 win over Cracovia in the second round of the Ekstraklasa.

Match events

Churlinov was included in the starting XI for his new club and remained on the pitch until the 60th minute of the game. Pogon opened the scoring immediately after the break when Leo Borges found the net in the 46th minute, and the visitors sealed the result deep into stoppage time through Mukairu in the fourth minute of added time (90+4).

The winger had joined Pogon only days earlier after completing a transfer from Kocaelispor and was officially presented as a major reinforcement for the Szczecin side.

The timing and the scoreline give a positive first impression: a debut start, significant playing time and a clean sheet on the road. For Churlinov this is an important step as he prepares to be one of the key figures for the North Macedonia national team in the coming period.

National team coach Goce Sedloski will welcome the increased club minutes; regular appearances at Pogon would strengthen Churlinov’s prospects for selection and form ahead of international fixtures.
