Center for Crisis Management: 18 open-space fires recorded — 17 extinguished, one under control near Belica
Center for Crisis Management says none of the 18 open-space fires are active; the only controlled blaze is near Belica (Kajorec).
As of this morning at 07:30, a total of 18 open-space fires were recorded across the country; none are active, one is under control and 17 fires have been extinguished, the Center for Crisis Management (CCM) reported.
The fire currently under control is in the municipalities of Makedonski Brod and Sopishte, near the village of Belica in a location called Kajorec (Municipality of Makedonski Brod), with spread toward Jasen (Municipality of Sopishte), where low-growing and mixed forest is burning.

- Municipality Veles: v. Rashtani – v. Prevalec (low vegetation, garbage and vineyards)
- Municipality Kumanovo: v. Rechica (low vegetation)
- Municipality Kumanovo: Krasta landfill (garbage)

The CCM emphasized that, according to the tally at 07:30, none of the recorded fires remain active; emergency and firefighting teams continue to monitor the controlled fire near Belica and patrol former burn sites to prevent re-ignition.
Authorities asked residents in affected areas to continue following official instructions and to report any new signs of smoke or fire to emergency services immediately.
