Center for Crisis Management: 31 open‑space fires recorded, three active

As of 07:30 this morning the Center for Crisis Management counted 31 open‑space fires across the country; three are still active and four are under control.

Center for Crisis Management: 31 open‑space fires recorded, three active

The Center for Crisis Management reported that, as of 07:30 this morning, a total of 31 open‑space fires have been recorded across the country.

Of those incidents, three fires remain active and four have been brought under control, the centre said.

Locations of active fires

The active fires are located in the area between the villages of Burinec, Lokov, Selce and Elevci in the municipality of Struga; near the village of Belica in Makedonski Brod; and near the village of Brest in the municipality of Chucher‑Sandevo.

Fires that have been placed under control include those near the village of Benche in Makedonski Brod, near the village of Tajmishte in Kichevo, near the village of Grachani in the municipality of Gjorche Petrov, and a fire at an illegal landfill in Delchevo.

The Center for Crisis Management provided the figures and location list in its morning briefing; authorities are monitoring the situation and coordinating local response teams. Further updates will be issued if the status of any fire changes.
