CCM: 22 fires recorded by 18:00, seven remain active

The Center for Crisis Management (CCM) reported that, by 18:00 today, authorities had registered a total of 22 fires in open areas across the country; seven remain active, two are under control and 13 have been extinguished.

Among the active incidents, the Municipality of Studeničani hosts two separate fires: one affecting the areas around the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber — where mixed forest is burning — and another near the village of Batinci, which involves low vegetation.

In Zelenikovo Municipality a blaze is burning close to the village of Paligrad and involves both low vegetation and forest. In the territory of Macedonski Brod a fire remains active around the Viduš area and the villages of Dragov Dol and Lokvica, consuming low vegetation, low-stem oak forest and shrubs.

Fires are also spreading in the Veles and Zelenikovo region near the village S'lp and the Gorno Selo locality, with the flames extending toward the villages of Karabunjishte, Buzalkovo, Dobrino and Tisovica. There, responders report burning low vegetation, oak and hornbeam stands and areas of higher-quality oak forest.

In the northwestern municipalities, an active fire in Jegunovce affects the villages of Kopanče and Tudenče and is pushing toward the village of Bojane in the Municipality of Saraj; the vegetation involved is mixed forest. An additional active fire is reported in the Municipality of Prilep near the village of Čanište, affecting low vegetation.

Two fires under control; list of extinguished blazes

CCM says two fires have been brought under control: near the village of Železnica in the Municipality of Kratovo, and at the landfill in the Municipality of Delčevo.

• Municipality of Dolneni: Vrapče and Belo Pole (low vegetation).
• Municipality of Bitola: Kazhani (low vegetation).
• Municipality of Resen: near the farm in Resen (apple saplings).
• Municipality of Štip: nas. Balkanska (low vegetation).
• Municipality of Želino: Cerovo (low vegetation, shrubs and low-stem forest).
• Municipality of Dojran: Furka (low vegetation and reeds).
• Municipality of Struga: Delogozda (low vegetation).
• Municipality of Rosoman: Rosoman (landfill).
• Municipality of Studeničani: the road from Količani to Pagaruša (low vegetation and garbage).

Observers note that the fire near Dragov Dol has been reduced, while the blaze in the Veles area of S'lp continues to expand toward Zelenikovo, complicating suppression efforts.
