CUK: 28 пожари на отворен простор низ Северна Македонија — 11 се активни
The Crisis Management Centre says 11 fires remain active, five are under control and 12 are extinguished as of 18:00.
By 18:00 this afternoon a total of 28 open‑space fires had been recorded across North Macedonia. The Crisis Management Centre (CUK) reports that 11 of those fires remain active, five are under control and 12 have been extinguished.
Active fires — locations
The incidents still burning are spread through several municipalities and types of terrain:
- Municipality of Gjorche Petrov: village Grachani and village Nikishtani; an additional fire is active on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo — forest.
- Municipality of Chucher‑Sandevo: village Brest, locality Ramno — mixed forest.
- Municipality of Chucher‑Sandevo: near the airport in Stenkovec — low vegetation.
- Municipality of Struga: village Burinec – village Lokov – village Selce — low‑stem forest.
- Municipality of Makedonski Brod: village Belica, locality Kajorec toward village Breznica, by the repeater — low‑stem and mixed forest.
- Municipality of Brvenica: village Militino — low vegetation and shrubs.
- Municipality of Gradsko: village Nogaevci, spreading toward village Kochilari — low vegetation and pine forest.
- Municipality of Bitola: village Kremenica – village Germijan — stubble field.
- Municipality of Staro Nagorichane: village Rugince — low vegetation and low‑stem forest.
- Municipalities of Kumanovo and Lipkovo: village Rechica and village Vaksince — low vegetation.
- Municipality of Kumanovo: near the railway track — low vegetation.
CUK's daily tally specifies the type of vegetation at each location, from low brush and stubble to mixed and pine woodland.
Fires that the centre reports as under control include incidents in the Kichevo and Saraj areas, as well as at the municipal landfill in Delchevo and a site in Novo Selo. Fully extinguished incidents are listed across Petrovets, Gazi Baba, Tearce, Kratovo, Lipkovo, Berovo, Shtip, Struga, Kichevo and Dolneni.
The Crisis Management Centre continues to monitor the situation and to coordinate firefighting resources; further updates will be issued if conditions change.
