Dace Nikolovski marks anniversary with romantic photo and song
The singer posted a wedding image with the date 22.08.2009 and a song, saying family is his greatest refuge.
Dace Nikolovski, a well-known Macedonian folk singer and long-time soloist with the ensemble Tanec, shared a personal moment with followers by posting a romantic photograph with his wife, Ljupka, to mark their wedding anniversary.
In the post he included the date 22.08.2009 and accompanied the image with the song "Ljubi me i glavata gore" by Zafir Hadzimanov, underscoring that love and harmony have endured in their home for nearly two decades.
Stability behind the stage
Nikolovski—also known for his years with the group Akademci—regularly describes his family as his greatest refuge and a source of happiness. He says balancing evening gigs, performances and household life requires work and mutual understanding.
Commenting on how they manage that balance, he told reporters: "Balance is not simple or easy, but if the partner has understanding and patience, then everything is easier. As they say — strong soul! The smile and embrace of my wife when she opens the door for me late at night coming back from a gig are priceless for me."
The couple are parents to two sons, Mihail and Kiril. Both children have been following their father's musical path at the Children's Music School "Ilija Nikolovski – Luj" (DMBUC): Mihail plays guitar and has won awards, while younger Kiril plays violin and loves to sing.
With new projects and a busy festival schedule, Nikolovski remains a respected voice of Macedonian folk and chalga music, and he continues to emphasize that lasting artistic success is built on a stable and happy family life.
