The widow of North Macedonia's beloved singer Goce Arnaudov, Silvija, continues to draw attention with her timeless elegance and a visible devotion to family life.
Arnaudov left a catalogue of songs that are inseparable from local celebrations, including "Ogin i plamen", "Aj da beshe strela pesnata", "Dali cekash stara majchice" and "Shtom nokta pomine" — melodies that many Macedonians still sing at gatherings.
Legacy and family
Goce Arnaudov died on December 6, 2011. He was survived by his wife Silvija, son Oskar and daughters Harita and Kristina.
Of the children, only Kristina followed in his musical footsteps. The couple's bond began when Silvija was still a child, and throughout their life together she was described as his strongest supporter who accompanied him everywhere and often spoke of being very happy with him.
Today Silvija lives in Strumica and focuses on her grandchildren. Her daughter Harita recently posted a photo to mark her mother's birthday and publicly congratulated her. From the images, Silvija appears as a woman of style who still looks strikingly beautiful.
Those who remember Arnaudov's career say his songs remain part of the national soundtrack, while Silvija preserves his memory through family and private life in Strumica.
